Natural Weight Loss – Beginning Small

August 3, 2010 by: Elizabeth Newman

No matter what your size is, it is important to lose your weight the healthy way. Even if you lose 30 or 60 pounds but your health deteriorates dramatically which forces you to take medication, the whole thing is useless. You may have shed off a few or a lot of kilos but you have yet to achieve vivacity, dynamism and a complete mind and soul. Even though weight loss is our main target, health is still our ultimate concern.

Can you recall the Tortoise and the Hare? The way to win is to do it slow and steady. Most people fancy a quick fix, however the reality of health and weight loss makes this not productive. In order to achieve the results that will stay with you for good, you will have to see things from a long term perspective. Many studies show that the slow and steady weight loss will stick. On the contrary, a quick fix will likely to return.

Why is this? Part of the reason is that our bodies and minds have not had enough time to change at a deep level. Habits have not formed; our body chemistry has not fully adapted to the different inputs. We’ve sprinted through some rapid fat loss but have not had time to build up the *endurance* in our lives. It’s the endurance which carries us day by day, month by month and year after year. This is when we truly have accomplished something.

So what does one do to kick start this natural weight loss program? Firstly, take note to cut down on your calorie intake for the sake of better health even if it is just a few hundred calories each day. Next do something that you have never attempted like exercising. Make an effort to walk around the park regularly including some light hills if likely. Go to the gym 2 to 3 times weekly. Get on a bike and cycle once in a while. There are honestly a lot of things you can try to lose weight naturally.

Diet recipes may or may not be of help. For instance if you have some very obvious *bad foods*, like potato chips, sweets or soda pop, that you enjoy, but cutting back on these you will be taking the important first step. Gradually add healthy alternatives to your diet and don’t forget to eat regularly, there’s no need to starve! There’s lots of great, healthy food that you can enjoy.

Honestly, weight lost products are really not necessary. Just by making some adjustments to your diet menu as well as throwing in some workout routines, you will be on your way to achieving a healthier life. As the day progresses, you will learn to adjust your diet menu and be creative in creating your own workout routine.

Keep in mind that there is no quick fix! It’s all about tiny, easy steps along the way and creating your own success. It might be hard to pull off at the beginning, but it will show in your body as you start to look and feel awesome!
