Biking is also a great way to travel while you exercise and can save on the cost of gas.

For the social aspect of working out why not try basketball or even tennis? Both these activities provide a good cardio workout and they each have their own specific areas of the body that is concentrated on. Basketball provides a workout for your legs because you must remain in motion throughout the game.

Tennis on the other hand provides more of an upper body workout and while it too is a good cardio fitness regimen, most people do it for the social benefits it brings. They get to spend time with their friends.

Overall, you can try one or more of these exercise methods for great benefits to your heart health.
