The flip side of the coin however is that the color red is capable of increasing one’s heart beat rate and thus metabolism. An increased metabolism always goes hand in hand with hunger. This may prove to be quite inspirational to the chef.

When one is trying to create a cool, calm and soothing effect, blue tones have a good way of doing this. This can however have the effect of repressing the chef’s hunger which will in turn kill his inspiration.

To generate the perfect amount of heat and or hunger in the kitchen, some of the most popular tones are the earth tones. With the right use of green tones, inspiration to use various vegetables is created.
