Tips For Arranging Your Office To Make You More Efficient

And this is detrimental to the business. If you want to avoid this, why not give a time for setting up, arrange and organize the work area.
1. Keep everything at a distance your arm can reach. Your computer, filing cabinet, the printer, ball pens and notepads, the phone – all of these should be within reaching distance. This is so you won’t have to stand up every time just to get something and waste precious time.
#2. Design a U-shaped working space. It’s very comfortable to work with a three-side surface. You can easily find and reach the things you will need and it more spacious than any other design.
Once you have a U-shaped table, it would help a lot if you can find a swivel chair where you can seat and move around in a circular motion together with the chair without standing. Minimize the movement to maximize focus on the output.
#3 Consider also your floor plan.. The position of your desk will affect your working condition. If it is improperly placed it would cause inconvenience on your part. For example you have put your computer near the power outlet so that the wire will not be crossing to your desk and your chair. And also you could arrange the would give a nice view of the entire office and a little private.
4. De-clutter daily. Don’t let papers and other items accumulate on your desk as this will have a negative effect on your productivity. Admit it – it is unpleasant to work in a desk full of clutter. A good way to keep it clean is to spend around 5-10 minutes in the morning clearing and organizing the area before you start working.
When you do regular cleaning up and organizing your things, it’s not anymore difficult to maintain and of course it will make your day good and your business as well.
