All people experience headache from time to time, that’s why it is considered as a normal medical condition. But even though that is the case, you should still be sure whether your headache is purely due to stress or is a symptom of a deeper underlying cause.

Stomach problems can cause an individual to experience excessive vomiting and nausea but so do headaches. Headaches can sometimes be the cause for gastro paresis, a condition wherein food is stuck in the stomach for long hours. With gastro paresis, headache painkillers can delay or even lose their effect since their absorption in the stomach is prohibited.

Studies have also found out that there is a link between obesity and headache. They showed that people who are overweight are more likely to experience severe headaches than those who are not. Epileptic who have frequent headaches are more likely to suffer dementia and stroke than those who do not have the condition. At the same time, researchers say that epileptics have an increase in the risk of other brain diseases. Why? The answer is yet to be found say the experts.

People who suffer migraine at a regular rate are told to be careful since they have higher risk for developing blood clots in the brain that may lead to stroke. Blood clots are usually a result in the change of blood flow to the brain brought by intake of antidepressants and painkiller drugs.

Since there is no definite explanation on how and why headache or migraine affects conditions such as the ones mentioned, the only thing you can do is to be continually vigilant. Make sure the painkiller you are using is 100% safe to avoid risks of blood clots in the brain. Live a healthy lifestyle as well, engaging in more physical activities and eating a well-balanced every day to strengthen your immune system.
