If you want bigger chest and shoulder, then there is no substitute to flat bench press. It simply is the best – time tested and proven. Period.
Secrets you can use today in weight room
Using the right technique is absolute key to press more. For example if you do not use all the muscles – both prime movers and stabilizers, how can you max your bench press? Lets see how you can increase bench press in your first workout.
1. Right Technique is the Key
Making sure you are using a proper technique is vital if you want to improve your bench press. Some bodybuilders make the dangerous mistake of the wrong grip, which puts them at a high risk of injury and makes their efforts more difficult.
In addition to proper griping the bar, the bar needs to be well aligned when you lift with arms extended. The best position is to to hold the bar at arms length making sure it is at the level of the eye.
3. High bench press is all in the proper reps and sets
Shooting for the correct weight and number of repetitions is essential if you want to improve your bench press in the fastest method possible. Having the most weight on the bar as you can handle and lifting it in the a few reps is more beneficial than having less weight and doing more reps.
This is because the heavier the weight, the more your muscles will be worked and torn. Each time, they build themselves back a little stronger. With that being said, be sure you don’t take on more than you can handle at any one time, or you could end up with an injury.
3. Feedback/Evaluation is the Breakfast of Champion
Feedback is the breakfast of champions. Unless you evaluate your workouts on a weekly basis how will you find out if your current workout is working?
Use your journal to see if your current workout is helping you lift more.
4. Eat to Press Harder not to Get Fatter
Eating the proper diet for muscle building can help your body gain the strength needed to increase your bench press. Most people think they understand the workings of the body and how to adequately fuel it to increase muscle mass.
The best post workout nutrition is to consume a workout shake with 30 grams proteins and 50 grams carbohydrates or make one that contain the desired calories.
5. Grow while you rest and eat
If you want to improve on bench press in your next workout then get some quality sleep of at least 7-8 hours every night.
This does not mean you have to stay away from the gym while you are in your rest period. Instead, work out different muscles each day. This way you will always have a muscle group that is ready to go every day you hit the gym.
So what are you waiting for champion. Go get that Bench press max.
