Genuine Friendship Means Being There Through Ups And Downs

April 21, 2011 by: George Monroe

You can probably walk down memory lane and come up with a friend or two who only stuck around during good times.

They are pretty obvious coming to think about it. You do not even need to labor hard to come up with two names. They clang around you when everything seemed to be rolling smoothly until one cloudy day when you were alone.

This is not some mud-slinging kindergarten furor; it is not to imply that there are perfect friends out there. The truth is that there are times even you will encounter friends who are under a grey cloud and have little to offer.

For this viewpoint, it is obvious why a number of people roll up their windows on you. Some people generally keep off when you have trouble simply because they do not know where to start in case they even feel like helping you. Anyway, you priority should be being within reach.

Remember that you are not going into this as the sole problem solver. You should not have the mindset that you are the solution. Rather, be there emotionally and physically and be the earpiece that is available to connect.

To the eyes of many friends who are suffering, your presence will normally be an encouraging factor and it is a comforting feeling to the person that is in need. It normally get a new burst of strength knowing that a friend or two is behind you.

To some people, it is almost their talent, figuring out which exact words to say to a friend who is nursing wounds. Their words are so soothing and will go a great deal in lifting you from that dark hole and placing you almost at a point you never thought you will reach.

Even when whatever you want to say is in your mind, putting it in words can be a tough agenda. You will always be caught up in a web of confusion. In the same argument, focus on small gestures which add up to a lot.
