Being fashionable is evident in today’s society. Most people, no matter what their age and whether they maybe male or female all dresses up to look good and be presentable. Various types, styles, and designs of clothes are available in the market. Designer clothes are also very popular among people who have passion for fashion; however, though these clothes which are not only beautiful but also exquisitely made flooded the market not all people can afford to buy these expensive pieces of clothing.
Designer clothing generally refers to clothing that bears the logo of a recognizable fashion designer. It is a category of garment created in smaller lots for distribution to exclusive outlets. Usually, pieces of designer clothing are not personally made by top designers; rather, these pieces of clothing bear a designer’s name due to a licensing agreement the designer has entered into. These agreements allow mass market apparel manufacturers to sell their wares at a premium price.
People love designer fashion. This is because pieces of designer clothing are usually-but not always-better made than lower-tier clothing. Also, people are known to wear clothes to symbolize their status in the society-it is also for this reason why many people prefer designer clothing over lower-tiered ones. However, as branded clothes are often produced in smaller quantities, they can also be very expensive depending on the popularity of the designer. Today, designer clothing is a multi-billion dollar industry. Among the top players in this industry are Paris based haute couture designers Pierre Cardin, Coco Chanel, and Christian Dior.
There are generally two types of designer clothing-ready-to-wear (RTW) and haute couture. RTW types of clothing are those created based on one pattern that is resized for production and assembled from a machine. These pieces of clothing are those seen on shopping malls and are not made on custom size. Haute couture, on the other hand, is produced on a smaller scale by select couturiers. That is, specially trained seamstresses assemble custom-measured garments in a level of detail and skill that cannot be copied in a mass-produced garment.
As mentioned, designer clothing can be very expensive. However, as was earlier stated, not all who wants to look fashionable have the budget to purchase these items. Nevertheless, these individuals should not worry as there are so many options to get designer fashions on a budget. The first thing one should understand when purchasing clothes is that it does not necessarily mean that when an item of clothing has a designer tag on it, it will surely make one look gorgeous. Rather, one should look for items that will make them look good and feel comfortable regardless of the brand. Also, it is a must to look for versatile items. One can purchase a blouse, for example, that would perfectly work in parties but would also be appropriate in the office.
Looking beautiful and fabulous can be attained with wearing designer clothes however, keep in mind that whether you are wearing branded garments or low-tiered clothing being beautiful and presentable cn be achieved by being confident with one’s self and having a positive outlook in life.
